THE AKRON JAGZ

 

2006 was the first year for the Akron Jagz football organization in the U.S.F.A., although the Akron Jagz are not new to Semi-Professional Football, with 4 Championship Superbowls from 1996-2002. We have a STRONG HISTORY AND TRADITION IN THE CITY OF AKRON. The Akron Jagz are Proud members of the Heartland Football League. Playing more quality teams from around our surrounding areas!!

 

Leadership, Dedication, and Success are common threads in all our communities, we carry and distill that into our organization. Because of these valiant traits and strong support from our family, teachers and coaches in our community, most of our players and coaches have won a championship at some level during their football careers. One of the Jagz primary goals are to become a championship organization and to continue to make its mark in the league, and in minor league football as one of the greatest semi-pro organizations ever!

 

The Jagz are just as active off the field as on. In addition to maintaining a professional appearance and high standard for our team and our league, we also find it equally important to play a big role in our community. The Jagz are a community driven organization.

 

The Akron Jagz are a non-profit organization, and players pay a small fee. All monies donated to the Akron Jagz is a 100% tax write off for all business or private sponsors. Monies collected from the players, does NOT pay for all the expenses that occur with the team.  The Akron Jagz season is paid for by it's owners ( GABE AND MISTY BROWN ). The Akron Jagz will do everything possible to make sure the season and players are taken care of, without receiving any monies. The Akron Jagz strive to see our young players make it to another level, college or arena. The Akron Jagz will not violate any NCAA rules and regulations.

 

The Jagz want to be more than a football team, we want to be role models and set forth standards for the youth in our community as well as make a positive impact and provide some good, positive family fun for everyone! Most importantly we are a family!!

 

We are looking forward to many years; we plan on a great, positive and long lasting relationship with the HFL ,The city of Akron and the rest of Summit County.
